Add a little joy to your storytelling

We live in an imperfect world. Add to that the fact that things are constantly changing. It virtually ensures that there will be things that need to be improved. It's too easy to let things turn negative. To complain about all the wrong things in our world. It gives us something to write about. But it does little to inspire our readers.

So here’s a nice little exercise to run through after we have finished creating a piece of content. Ask the question:

“Will this inspire my readers or, at the very least, bring a little joy to their lives?"

It’s nice to step back and think about how our storytelling could have a positive effect on our readers’ lives. So give the question a go. If just for the possibility of spreading a little joy in the world.
